Spreader Tool

Great tool! Just kinda pricey for a one time job.

These things work great. Just make sure you add some protective fabric or leather between the frame and the tool, as it can slip out and scratch your furniture with the sharp edges.

After getting my slings, I realized very quickly that the job could not be done without a spreader tool. I tried my car jack and even tried making my own with no success. This tool is an absolute requirement and, once I received it, I was able to quickly finish the job

The spreader tool is a must have! It makes the job faster and easier. Getting the chair back together without it is almost impossible.

I ended up using a combo clamp/spreader bar for three of four chairs and struggled a lot to get the bars in. I had to bend them to get them in. I used the spreader tool for the last chair and if was 100x easier and spread the chair enough so I did not need to bend any of the bars. I highly recommend the tool and Slingmasters. They were very professional and great to work with.

Pros: Great tool, works great, definitely necessary to install replacement slings! Super simple design. Cons: Seemed to take the slow boat for the delivery. Nothing against the tool or Slingmasters. Lesson Learned: Use simple spring clamps to hold the spreader bar ends in place as you proceed to spread the chair rails.

The spreader tool worked flawlessly! I had to reattach the spreader bars on 3 sling chairs, and with this tool I was done under 15 minutes.

Worked great but could use rubber pad on ends to help prevent slippage. Also, for my use a flat end piece instead of the L shape would have better. All in all a good tool. Couldn’t have done the job without it.
